Blue & Yellow Macaw

The blue and yellow macaw, also known as the blue and gold macaw is a large parrot inhabiting forest, woodland and savannah areas of tropical South America. This species occurs in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Paraguay. They are popular because of their striking color, ability to talk, ready availability in the marketplace, and close bonding to humans.
