MEDIUMS
GALKYD by Gamblin to speed up drying time (4 oz.bottle)
GAMSOL by Gamblin to thin oil paints (small size container)
Odorless Mineral Spirits for cleaning brushes (buy gallon size at Lowe's or Home Depot then transport smaller amount in container to class)

BRUSHES
#2 & #4 Round Brushes
One Each- #2, #4, #8, and #10 Filbert Bristle Brushes
Medium size Fan or Makeup Brush
2 all-purpose, small size, inexpensive house painter brushes, (one for applying gesso and the other for initial color washes)
1 Palette Knife (medium size)

DRAWING MATERIALS
I Box or small package of Soft Vine or Willow Charcoal, (medium thickness)
1 Kneaded Eraser

PAINTING SURFACES 
Gessoed pre-stretched cotton or linen canvases or gessoed wood panels
I will demonstrate how you can make hand-made gessoed canvas and luon or masonite panels.

PALETTE
Tear-away, wax coated, gray or white paper palette
Or create your own home-made, glass palette, over neutral gray poster board, 12”x 16” or larger
(I prefer this one & will demonstrate in class) 

EASEL
Small Tabletop Easel, Pochade Box or French Easel or if you prefer standing while you paint

MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS
Tackle Box or Art Bin Box to hold supplies
MASTERSON Sta-Wet Palette Seal Box- I add glass on inside bottom to hold oil palette colors (optional)
Paint Scraper or Single Edge Razor Blades 
Roll of Masking Tape
1 Can Workable Fixative
Paper Towels or Rags
1 Brush Cleaning Tank (comes in either glass or metal to hold low-odor mineral spirits for cleaning brushes)
Small, glass containers with lids, (for storing paint medium and for cleaning brushes)
