Lagoon at Dusk

The lagoon at Hunting Island, South Carolina was originally creating by dredging the inland sand and depositing it on the beach directly behind it. This barrier island near Beaufort is one of the heaviest eroding areas on the SC coast. While replenishing the beach is often a battle lost, the hauntingly beautiful lagoon is the end result.
