Riverbank Vista

Several visuals drew me into this landscape. The river pebbles add weight to the bottom of the picture plane, while breaking the vertical reflections in the shallow water. The rock patterns also form an s-shape curve that carries my eye downstream toward the diagonal tree at the river's edge. Finally, the golden hour of light serves to both lengthen the shadows and warm the greens, golds and oranges in the trees and along the shoreline.
