Moonlit Moment

This charcoal and pastel painting was done as a warmup to a larger, full color oil I plan on doing. Since the initial stage of my oil paintings also begin with a charcoal treatment, I sometimes decide that completing a smaller limited color piece first will help me work out problems in the larger oil that follows.
