Tidal Moon

Following "Moonlit Moment," this charcoal and pastel painting was done as another warmup piece to a second, larger full color oil I plan on doing. Establishing the values with the charcoal underlayer is key and also is an important step in helping me understand the shadow progressions in my full color work.
